ABOUT US

Why Work With Kaleidoscope Counselling Collective

Kristie Brassard, MSW, RSW, founder and clinical director of Kaleidoscope Counselling Collective

Kristie Brassard

MSW, RSW

Founder & Clinical Director

I started Kaleidoscope because I wanted a practice where people didn’t have to leave parts of themselves at the door. We’re all imperfect humans with our own strengths and struggles, and there are no bad parts of you.

Our therapists bring lived experience along with clinical training. We don’t see anything about you as a problem to fix. We work with you on what’s getting in the way, and what you want more of.

Whether you’re unmasking after years of fitting in, untangling what you were taught to believe, or carrying something heavy from your past, you can come as you are. You can see us in person in Barrie or online from anywhere in Ontario.

Kaleidoscope Counselling Collective is an inclusive, authentic and collaborative therapy practice.

INCLUSIVE

We work with folks of all genders, sexualities, cultural backgrounds, and relationship styles, along with neurodivergent folks, creatives, and people who are spiritual but not religious. When you’ve spent years feeling like an outsider, it matters who’s across the room.

AUTHENTIC

We show up as ourselves, so you can too. You won’t have to mask, translate, or put on a front here. That kind of real connection is where a lot of the work happens.

COLLABORATIVE

Our approach is client-centred, strengths-based, and integrative. We trust that you know a lot about your own life, and we bring support, real talk, and practical tools to help you use what you already have.

WE MEET YOU WHERE YOU’RE AT

WE DEVELOP A COLLABORATIVE PLAN

We work with you to understand your goals and dreams, as well as the individual and collective barriers you face. Together, we develop a flexible plan specific to your needs, wants, and priorities.

WE WORK ALONGSIDE YOU

We adjust the plan based on what you bring to each session and what you need, today and down the road.
