FEEL GOOD ABOUT
WHO YOU ARE
Life is exhausting when it feels like your brain is always working against you.
You’re not lazy, broken, or dramatic. You’ve been in survival mode; burnt out, masking, constantly overstimulated, yet disconnected at the same time. The truth is, neurodivergent brains weren’t made for hustle; you need space, pace, and support to thrive.
At Kaleidoscope Counselling Collective, we offer compassionate, personalized therapy in Barrie and across Ontario to help you move out of survival mode and into a life that feels more like your own.
Do you or your loved one feel…
- Like you’re falling behind at work, school, or in relationships?
- Overwhelmed by expectations, routines, or time management?
- Lonely or like you don’t quite belong, no matter how hard you try?
- Sensitive to rejection, criticism, or feeling left out?
- Easily overstimulated, or sometimes completely shut down?
- Anxious, frustrated, or weighed down by guilt and shame?
At Kaleidoscope Counselling Collective, we create a safe, affirming space for neurodivergent adults, not to diagnose you, but to help you better understand your brain, build on your strengths, and learn ways to live and thrive as your true self.

ABOUT US
Why Work With Kaleidoscope Counselling Collective
Kristie Brassard
MSW, RSW
Our affirming and empowering therapy & counselling clinic was built on the philosophy that we’re all imperfect humans with our own strengths and struggles – there are no bad parts of us, only steps to take in our personal journey to living authentically.
When you’re struggling with your emotions, feeling disconnected, or craving more meaning in your life, it can be hard to know what you need to start feeling better.
There are so many competing priorities that you feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or stuck existing in a space that isn’t giving you enough joy, peace, or purpose. We want to help tap into the inner strength that allows you to uncover the passion, confidence, and courage you have for living wholly as you.
Our clinicians have extensive lived experience and professional expertise. We use a client-centered, integrative, and holistic approach to help you get the results you need.
Let us help you embrace your authenticity by supporting your goals, identity, and life aspirations!

OUR APPROACH
How Our Neurodivergent Therapy Works
YOU PICK YOUR CLINICIAN
Finding the right fit matters, especially when you’ve spent so much of your life feeling misunderstood. You can book a free 15-minute consultation to see if the connection feels right with the therapist of your choice, or dive right into your first session.
WE MEET YOU WHERE YOU’RE AT
We take time to learn what life feels like for you right now, whether that’s struggling with focus, feeling overwhelmed, masking, or navigating relationships. We also explore how past experiences might be showing up in the present. You set the pace, and we listen to your story without judgement.
WE DEVELOP A COLLABORATIVE PLAN
Together, we’ll look at your goals and the barriers you face, whether that’s executive dysfunction, emotional regulation, or rejection sensitivity. We then create a flexible plan that works with your brain, not against it.
WE WORK ALONGSIDE YOU
Each session becomes a step toward a life that feels calmer, more authentic, and more manageable. We adjust our approach based on what you need in the moment, so therapy always meets you where you are.
Questions About Neurodivergent Therapy
Frequently Asked Questions About Neurodivergent Therapy
Do I need to have a diagnosis to get this support? Do you diagnose?
No, you don’t need a diagnosis to access therapy. As Social Workers and Psychotherapists, we are not licensed to diagnose. We can still provide insights and work with you even if you don’t have a formal assessment. If you’re hoping for a diagnosis, we recommend reaching out to your primary care physician, nurse practitioner, psychologist, or psychiatrist.
What is neurodivergent counselling?
Neurodivergent counselling is therapy designed for people whose brains work differently, and that difference is honoured, not judged. Whether you’re living with ADHD, Autism, or AuDHD, therapy gives you a space where you don’t have to explain your struggles or pretend to fit in. Together, we explore challenges like executive dysfunction, procrastination, masking, big emotions, rejection sensitivity, or feeling like you’re always behind, and find strategies that actually work for your brain. It’s also a place to build confidence, grow self-acceptance, and learn how to live in a way that feels more like you.
How long will it take to feel better?
Everyone’s journey looks different. Some people notice improvements after just a few sessions, while others find long-term therapy more helpful. The pace depends on your individual goals, needs, and what feels right for you.
My spouse is neurodivergent. What do I do?
If you or your partner are struggling with ADHD, Autism or AuDHD related challenges, neurodivergent therapy in Barrie or across Ontario can be a supportive space to learn more about each other. You can attend sessions individually or as a couple. Your therapist can provide education, answer questions, and help you both develop strategies for communication, emotional connection, and day-to-day success.
Is therapy about “fixing” neurodivergence?
Not at all. Neurodivergent therapy isn’t about changing who you are; it’s about understanding how your brain works, reducing shame, and finding strategies that make life feel more manageable. Our goal is to support you in building confidence, embracing your strengths, and creating a life that feels like it fits you.
How can therapy help my loved one if they’re neurodivergent?
Therapy can give your loved one a safe place to feel understood and accepted for who they are. We help people learn about their unique sensory and emotional needs, develop tools for focus and regulation, and build confidence in being their authentic selves.
